He steals her keys to the lock to the back door which is locked and goes out. Or out through the window or even the front door when she's not paying attention.

They want him to be able to Play with his cousins but his case worker said he's not allowed to. And his mother is a drug addict and doesn't want him with her.
WHAT caseworker? Is there an open CPS case on the child? If so, then I can GUARANTEE you that locking the child away in a room for a couple of hours is NOT kosher.

Grandma should not be the guardian of this child I do hope that CPS catches on to this and removes the child...for the child's sake.

I noticed that too. What is also not kosher is lying to ones case worker. Sounds like grandma isnt the best choice when it comes to who is caring for this child..

Then maybe she needs to.....PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE KID. Geez.

You're seriously telling me that there's no way to hide the key where he can't find it? Or that there's no way to avoid leaving him alone for any extended length of time? Bull.

It sounds to me like the real question here is "How can we discipline this kid without it costing us too much effort and commitment?"

This kid needs a guardian that's willing to actually be a guardian. Does the grandmother get welfare benefits for this child?

She gets his ssi check.
Wow. What a surprise!

Perhaps she could invest some of this money in helping this little boy that has been raped. Any adult with half a brain would realize that the poor child is likely suffering from trauma due to being RAPED.

Where does it mention rape?

I saw "sexual abuse", yes - but that's not synonymous with "rape".

You are right. Sorry.

So the child is suffering fro the trama of sexual abuse rather that being raped.

I completely agree with what you're saying though. :)

This poor child needs help.

If I actually say what's on my mind about this thread, I'm going to end up in time-out so I'll hush my muffin and move along.
