What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

My wife and I are getting a divorce. This week, she told me that if I do not give her all of my money each paycheck, that she will lie and get a restraining order on me that will prevent me from seeing my child.

I am wondering what rights I have in this matter. I've never been violent, and she has no reason to do this besides trying to extort money out of me. Should I call the police? I believe she is crazy enough to do something like this.

She's left me scared to death to do anything against her will. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

Don't give all of your paycheck and be very careful not to give her ANY reason to give a judge the inclination to give her an RO. Don't raise your voice, become angry or anything remotely like this, just walk away.

Your wife knows that judges favor the wife in these matters and will try to use that to her advantage by provoking you.

Calling the police won't do anything but get you told it's a civil matter.

Document everything she says, date, time & place & under what circumstances to give to your attorney.

If you don't have an attorney, you're going to need one, get one ASAP.

Take this serious. My wife knew a woman that admittedly slammed herself in the face, causing an injury. She called the police and her hubby, totally confused was arrested for assault. She got the house, which was her goal.
