Tx gave me spousal support and ex ran to california

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in Texas...Texas gave me spousal support and the ex ran to California...I use to know where he worked and he got fired from AA...so now, how do I find out where he works at? I can not afford a P.I. to tell me where he works at...Does my attorney have to file something in California court to make they recognized Texas paperwork?... There is a Capias warrant in Texas out of a court and no departmental agency has it...how does someone get it into the NCIC database? If Capias is enforced and he is picked up in California who pays the fee to get him to Texas? He has many contempt citations and we can not get him to come back to Texas to finish this divorce...Is his new fiancee' just as responsible to pay his debt to me? Basically, anything this man can do he has done it to me! I have some serious health problems and really seeking to find employment due to my health has been a task...Can anyone help me??? I am at the end of my rope!!

First, no his fiancee has no responsibility or obligation to you whatsoever.

Second, and this is perhaps more important - you need to be prepared for the possibility of never seeing a dime from your ex. So you need to be able to find some way of supporting yourself.

I have a couple of suggestions, though:

1. In some states, the child support collection agency can collect spousal support. I don't know if that applies in TX, though. More importantly, it's often the case that you need to have an active child support order before they'll even look at spousal support - and, again, I don't know about TX. You might call their child support collection office:

2. If that doesn't pan out (and, frankly, it's a long shot), you could contact a collection agency to see if they will take it on for you. There are two disadvantages to this, though:
- The collection agency will take a significant percentage (although getting 60% is better than getting nothing)
- I believe that the debt would become dischargeable in bankruptcy if you turn it over to a collection agency.
Still, if you don't have any chance of collecting, it might be worthwhile.

California should enforce Texas Judgment.

I do not have any children with this man..Thank God for that! My attorney just withdrew since he did go to court to get his atty fees paid, but my husband has not paid for those either...did I forget to mention...he took my Car which was in my name alone and traded it in to a Dealership on temp. orders that showed he had possession and use...but he was not the owner and was not awarded the car...the dealership signed my name as POA which I have never given to anyone! My car is gone and he drove away in a new truck to live with his new fiancee in California! I have not had a job due to medical issues and I dont know if I would qualify for disability...havent really worked in my life...the husband always supported me and I kept house up and such...Can I draw on his SS, since we are still married? Who is a reputable collection agency to collect on this in california? How would I find out if there is a judgment in California already? PLEASE HELP, I AM RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND OPTIONS! As for the car, if he did not have legal title, the dealership messed up. They should be forced to return the car to you or provide an equivalent one. To get the ball rolling, I would contact the dealership manager, explain that they forged your name without permission, and ask nicely for them to return the car to you. If they refuse, file a formal complaint for identity theft against the dealer - or have your attorney go after them.

Social security - once you reach retirement age, you can receive social security based on his earnings history if you were married 10 years or more, IIRC. You could contact your local SS office for information. I do not believe you can draw disability if you've never worked, but again, the SS office would know.

You'll have to do a search for collection agencies - I'm not in CA and wouldn't recommend any, even if I was. And you can search the CA court system to see if there is a judgment. CA has a good self-help system that will help you through this. Contact your court clerk to ask how to get started.
