What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

My 14 year old son is facing several criminal charges:

5 counts of sexual harassment thru sending sexual text messages by way of an ipod touch to 5 girls all under the age of 18.

2 counts of lewd conduct sending sexual pics via ipod touch to 2 girls under the age of 18.

Since he is a juvenile and this is his 1st offense, never been in any trouble with the law up until now, what should I expect the outcome to be of these charges.

These charges are more then serious and I suggest you get a good lawyer, right away.

just alittle excerpt from the great state of PA

"When it comes to sexting, the right legislative changes will ensure that the law catches up with technology and hands down appropriate legal consequences," said Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association President and Dauphin County District Attorney Edward M. Marsico, Jr. "The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association applauds Rep. Seth Grove for introducing this legislation and looks forward to working with legislative leaders, victim advocates and others to ensure that the end result is a law that is clear and applied in a consistent manner."

House Bill 2189, introduced by York County state Representative Seth Grove (R-Dover), would make the charge for a minor transmitting or distributing a sexting image to another minor considered a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Current law makes sexting a felony offense, even for minors. A sexting conviction could result in a permanent record and registration as a sex offender for a period of 10 years or more.

Could you please tell us under which statute/s your son has actually been charged?

I absolutely agree - you need to get an attorney immediately. And he should not be discussing it with anyone but his attorney.

I hope that you've taken the iPod away.
