Restraining orders appear in background checks, as far as I know, and can prevent the subject of the order from getting a federal job or a firearm license.
So you say that a parent can simply ruin somebodies life without any evidence or proof?
I was actually referring to the difference in criteria.
(And not every restraining order will appear in every background check. In fact, most civil restraining orders won't prevent the average citizen from obtaining employment OR being able to obtain a license to carry)
But since you did mention it, this is why adults shouldn't mess around with MINORS.
Yes, there needs to evidence of contact - but not a threat, as is generally necessary for an RO between two adults.
This is a MINOR we're talking about. Don't forget that.
