What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri
My ex-son in law filed a order for child protection against myself and my husband. His reasons were that he has a video of us in sexual acts, that we made, that he considers sexual deviancy. We did make some "home" videos 7 or more years ago. And both of us thought these had been gone a long time ago. Our son in law has been charged with a class c felony for theft of items from our home. We truly believe this is in retaliation. And we are sure the videos he has in his possession, and claims he will introduce as evidence, were stolen from our house along with the numerous other things he stole. Can we ask at the hearing that these videos NOT be allowed as evidence? I personally dont want a judge watching them, besides they are stolen property!
We have 9 grandchildren and have never, nor will we ever be a danger in any way to any of them. This is so embarrassing that there are no words.

I strongly suggest you get an attorney to help you with this.

Have you spoken to the police about the video he has in his possession?

We were just served Wednesday and the hearing is Monday. We have thought about arriving early and speaking with the County Sheriffs department about the "video" in his posession. The hearing is 3 hrs from our home. We have not been able to find an attorney here who can clear a schedule and travel on such short notice. Is there anything we can file? Our hearing is at 10:30 am, so we wont have much time.

that he considers sexual deviancy.
Please clarify. Was there ANYTHING in these act involving minors or persons to LOOK like minors (especially children/minors in the family)?

Sorry to ask this.
