What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

My brother was brutally murdered by a juvenile 19 years ago who had escaped from juvenile detention. This has continued to bother me daily that it's possible that had he not escaped my brother might still be alive. Is it too late to sue the county juvenile facility??

I agree with HG. Not only would you not have the right to sue the government in the first place, the SOL has run. Also, criminal activity usually causes a big problem for proximate cause.

I'm sorry for your loss, and that it bothers you to this day.

I'm sure it's not money you seek, but accountability.

Most likely those responsible have retired and in some cases, have passed away.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your brother. I'm sure he would not want you to live with the torment you feel on a daily basis. He must have been a pretty good guy.

This is so sad.
