I am living in California and my wife filed for divorce. It is a clean divorce and there is no property or kids or anything involved. I received a FL-165 (Request to enter Default) form in the mail. Is this just a step towards finalize the divorce?
Secondly, I looked up the Case report and on there they noted that the case status hearing will be on November 2012, she filed for divorce in May of 2011, should that date for final hearing not be November 2011?
I thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, it is a step towards finalizing the divorce. The Nov 2012 bit could be a typo of some sort, or it could be a scheduling error of some sort. Its kind of critical that you find out which kind of error it was, unless you want to stay married until Nov 2012.

Thank you

Thank you for your help.
I did follow up with the court and hopefully they will adjust their records in order to be completely divorced by November 2011.
