I was charged in 2007. To make a long story short my friends and I got into a fight 9 girls got stabbed. There were 3 of us. The reason for this is because there were 17 to 20 girls that we were fighting and us three felt like we had to fend for our lives because they came to where we were comfortable at, where we are everyday. In front of our building. I was told that this indiscretion would not be on my record. After being incarcerated I graduated with my graduating class due to arrangements with my school, which was very well worth it although I had to do 3x the work that they did while incarcerated. Now i am in college at a university because I want to become a lawyer. I went to apply for a job and the case came up. Now you can only imagine how this made me look and I take full responsibility for it even if I was with two other people. Since the court told me that this case should not be visible to employers , what should I do? I feel like all the stuff that I did since I've gotten out of rikers island was for nothing because that case seems like it would be here to haunt me for the rest of my life.
