the thing is, no one is saying the stuff wasnt there...or wasnt my property. Both the LL and my Ex roommate know and accept that the apartment was filled with my property, I also have many emails talking about individual items with both my landlord and my ex roommate. The fact that I owned the items is not in question by any party involved. I just want to know WHO is responsible for what happened to the items.
**A: so do you have your answer?

Just in case you don't have your answer, the person responsible is the person who took your property, and your witness is the roommate.

and there is a SOL so contact the police see if they will take the criminal complaint this late in the game, and here is the website for suing civilly

please note you can apply for a low cost lawyer to help you.

good luck.

Ps, just because you get a judgment (not saying you will...) does not mean you will get paid on the judgment

Free or reduced legal assistance

In civil litigation cases, some people may qualify for free or reduced-fee legal assistance from organizations such as the Atlanta Legal Aid, Georgia Legal Services, or a local Pro Bono Project. You may be able to obtain from some of the clerks of court lists of attorneys who will provide services based on a sliding scale related to your income.

Court employees may not provide any party with legal advice.

No party to any case is allowed to discuss their case with the judge on an individual basis except in the presence of the opposing party or at a scheduled hearing or trial for which the opposing party had notice, but failed to appear.
