Hi,
I have just come out of a very short term abusive relationship (was only 4 months).
My ex partner had been arrested twice for harassment towards me in that time.
He had to move out of his last place as he could not afford the rent and therefore was moving his tv and sofa into his friends house.
He said that his furniture was better quality than mine and suggested (out of kindness at the time) that he give my 42inch tv and sofa to his friend and I could have his stuff. (how I regret agreeing to that)
I said at the time what would happen if we split and he said he would just keep my stuff or start again!
Now, simply out of spite because I have finally left him, he is demanding his stuff back (even though he took all mine), he wants to come and gut out my flat basically. I don't want my things back from his friends house, I just want him to go away as it is just an excuse to stay on contact with me, I want him nowhere near me or my flat. (he has nowhere to put his things anyway as he is currently on his Mums sofa)
I had lent him a lot of money too, which he had paid back... he put the money directly in my bank, I used that money to book a weekend away with my daughter, he is also now saying that he paid for the trip and is entitled to his money back? it is craziness!
He is now threatening me with a solicitor. Does he have any grounds?
I don't need this grief, I am a single Mum who has put up with enough from him.
Please help me.
