I have been told I can press charges for this, and would like to find out. The problem is in proving it. I've just learned my now ex had his girlfriend listen in to all the marriage counseling sessions and she is telling all sorts of lies about what I said within those sessions. Lies to my kids about things I said about them, slurs against my character, etc. Also, she is gossiping to and joking with people about things she claims I said during the sessions.
Furthermore, my phone was recently shut off. The company told me I called and ordered it disconnected - I provided the last 4 of my social security number to do so. Obviously, I did not order my phone off, and I have no enemies - other than the ex and the gf - as far as I know. The ex and I were married for nearly 30 years - he and I know each other's SSNs by heart. She has also, in the last year, pretended to be me with the IRS, Dept. of Education, and my Dr's office. My Dr.'s office almost dumped me as a patient due to her vulgarity over the phone - all whilst claiming to be me!
What options do I have? I have had no contact with my ex for a year - except for some e-mails regarding taxes, the last of which were from him to me during the same weekend the phone was ordered shut off. I did not seek alimony. I want nothing to do with either of them. I'm SICK of this, and want it to stop. Do I have a case?
