What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Cali...so I got the continuance for 30 days. Opposing counsel attempted to argue that the judge deny my request and hear the continued matter at that time. The judge stated he could not force me into mediation on the matter. Opposing counsel pressed but we're all here, we're prepare. The plaintiff is prolonging the process. was my reaction. I then asked to approach the bench and here's my story to the judge.

Opposing counsel refuses to reply to my emails and respond to phone messages. They file motions for matters that we could discuss and that they would more than likely discuss with a bar certified attorney.

Mind you, so far everything I've requested has been granted etc. Anywho, the judge asked why they don't respond and all I heard were crickets. The judge reminded them they had a legal obligation to communicate with me pro se or not.

They have to wait 30 days to have their motion heard and I get to keep my job!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had they communicated with me knowing I made known to the court in August that I was job searching we could have avoided the delay.

Now we have a matter of financial disclosure they continue to dodge, so I am going to file a motion to compel the defendant to comply.
