What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pa
I've been seperated from my husband for almost 15 yrs but not leagally seperated, can I be held responsible for his bills if he dies?

Only if your name is on any of them, and then you would be responsible only for whatever has your name on it.

In addition, of course, his estate would remain responsible for some of his bills in some states which would reduce any amount that OP might inherit.

OP certainly shouldn't count on inheriting anything at all.
I agree, if either one of them had any assets to fight about for the last 15 years, the person who did would have filed for divorce. On the other hand, they may be just waiting and hoping the other one dies first.
