hes been in and out of trouble for the past year while living with me, I was going to let him go live with his mother to get him away from the crowd he is hanging out with to see if that will help to get him on the right path. The problem is if he goes overthere and gets in any trouble while not under my supervision am i still held responsible? I just dont want to be sitting in court with a lawsuit if, god forbid, he causes any damage of any sort to someones property. Havent had a issue with him doing that but im just covering all avenues before i let him move. Didnt know if giving his mother full custody would help or not.

You are his parent. You and Mom are both liable for his actions.
