What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida/Hernando County
:(
The county I live in in having the roads paved in my area. One of the roads is the one I live on. They are not charging by linear footage, they are charging everyone that has a home or land affected equally. My lot has 100' of road frontage that is going to be paved. My neighbor has 300' of linear feet to be paved. I cannot see how they can justify having everyone pay equally. I am a widow raising four kids. I know that is irrelevant but i cannot afford to just go out and hire a good attorney. I spoke up at the town meeting as it needed to be voted on by the commissioners. Well, my neighbors were there and now hate me. They are the ones that have the oversized or corner lots. Out of 94 lots being affected, 32 have 100' of frontage or less to be paved but the cost we all have to pay is for 200' regardless of the property size. Can anyone help me?

**A: if the assessment follows the law, then you do not have a valid complaint.

Are you going to only drive on your 100' of frontage or you are you going to use the rest of the neighborhood?
