What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA
I am separated from my husband. We have an 11 year old son together and I have applied for medicaid for my son and myself, since I cannot afford health insurance on my own. My estranged husband refused to turn over his income records for the past 6 months, which the medicaid office needs in order to process my claim. Is there any type of court order where I can force him to turn over his income records? If so, how would I go about doing that?

He doesn't have to do that unless he lives in the house with you. Does your husband have insurance through his employer? Have you filed for divorce yet?

I am living with a friend and he is still living in our home. He is self employed and has insurance on himself and our son, but will not let me use his insurance when I take my son to the doctor. We have been legally separated for 3 months, so our divorce won't be final until 9 more months. He won't help me at all since he has his new younger gf living with him.

Have you filed for any temporary orders? Is your friend male or female?
