Sorry it is very diffucult to find time on the weekends to respond. The numbers were calculated by my attorney based on my income and her "non income". There is nothing finalized because I can not get my wife to talk about anything.
Then you REALLY need a new attorney. Calculating that she gets 65% of the property because you make more money is insane.

Read all the advice you've gotten in both threads and seek out another attorney. NOW.

I still think that its possible that what he considers to be "assets" may not be what we consider to be "assets".

And if you're correct, it's even MORE reason why he needs a new attorney. The attorney shouldn't be offering a settlement without making sure that the client understands it.

Any woman with the audacity to cheat on the man she married deserves nothing from the divorce.

I think the bible even says she deserves to be killed, but I think we'll just leave it to her to repent (seeing as we are hardly a christian nation anymore these days).

Proserpina, I'm sorry you took such offense to my post, but if you honestly think adultry is something to roll your eyes at you have much to learn girl

What I think about "adultry" (sic) is not the issue at hand here.

Now, you go and do a bit of Googling, and then come back and I'll accept your apology when you tell us that you've learned why "adultry" (sic) is not a factor here.

This.... is a legal forum.
This..... is NOT a Bible forum.

No matter what ones personal opinion on adultery may be, many MANY states don't care if your soon to be ex spouse is a dirty hoor. Thats just the way it is.

Title of the post: Wife is having an affair...
Assuming the affair is not with the OP, it is an extramarital affair.

A quick google search turned up this: "Even in cases of separation from one's spouse, an extramarital affair is still considered adultery."

I assume they are not separated, but even if they are this is still considered adultery (got it that time).

So what were you saying? And no, your opinion has no place here. This is a legal forum.

A wife that is a hoor (sic) will have issues with child custody. That is one example of many where conduct is important.

Because adultery is not relevant when discussing the FINANCIAL aspects of divorce, in this OP's state.

Your apology is accepted.

Actually, you've messed up even your garbled theology.

Christianity is a religion of followers of Christ. NOT the old testament. When confronted with an adulteress, Christ said "let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone", suggesting that in his view, adultery did not warrant death.

Take it one step further. The Bible says that Christ was without sin. So he could have cast the first stone according to his own stricture, yet he didn't. Clearly, he didn't believe that it was a crime deserving death.

But, of course, as you were told, this is a legal site, anyway.
