Can I contest the adoption of my daughter whom has always and currently resides with me? My husband soon to be ex-husband had his mother to adopt my daughter, I thought it would have been a partial adoption with out surrendering my parental rights but something went wrong.. Is there anything that I can do about this? My daughter has always lived with me, I am the sole provider for her... What can I do?

I have a divorce pending, husband and I have been separated for 8 months I relocated with my 4 year old son, whom I have been the sole provider for since his birth.. Husband had not worked in over 4 years. I received a court order to relocate to the marital home which no longer exists and re-enroll my son in a school that I can no longer afford. Can I contest this order successfully?
You need an attorney to figure out this mess.

What do you mean, "partial adoption"?

There's no such animal.

Where did you move to?

When I stated partial adoption meaning I would not give up my parental rights.. I was led to believe that this was true, so I was not aware that I signed over my parental rights, but my child has always resided with me and has continued to do so.. While the grandmother who adopted her is profiting from whatever benefits my daugter is due to receive.. I don't want the money I just want my rights to my child restored.. What can I do, if the grandmother does not agree to give me back my rights to my daughter?

I don't think you understand the terms.

If your grandmother adopted the child herself, then neither you OR Dad are the child's parents. You no longer have a child.

However, if you simply gave up CUSTODY, that's a different matter entirely.

Is this the same child you're talking about in the other thread? Regarding relocation?

(Frankly Blue is correct - you need an attorney to sort out this mess)
