Here’s my situation. I will admit up front that I did some things
incorrectly but nothing I know of that I can do about them now.
Anyway, the divorce decree was set up that she would get the house. I
was fine with that. It was hers before we got together. When we were
married we refinanced it and put it under just my name to get a better
interest rate. I did not put anything in there stating that she would
need to refinance within a certain time frame after the divorce was
final. It just said that the title would go to her. Now the title is
in HER name and the loan for the house is just in MY name.

We also had a second mortgage type thing called a command credit line for
$20,000 which is in my name as well. Here is where I messed up. I
let her fill out the paperwork and I just signed it since we were on
good terms and I thought there wouldn’t be any issues. Turns out the
decree states that I am supposed to pay off the entire command credit
line(which is mutual debt). She has been paying it off for the last
year or so and I have been paying off a couple of credit
cards(unwritten agreement we have). So there is no issue with the
command credit at this time but if it came down to it based on the
decree it is MY responsibility. I am wondering if there is anything I
can do to get off of the loan and have it out of my name once and for
all. She is trying to refinance but is unable at this time I guess.
Also as far as the command credit line what I would like to do is
basically split it and take care of my share of it. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You should remain on good terms with her and be very very nice to her.
