What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Illinois

Can my wife legally object to sale of the property which is titled to me. The property was acquired during our marriage but is located outside of US (British territory). I intend to put the money in our joint account but she has some mental issues right now and I am afraid to be in breach of contract if she objects to sale.

Talk to your British Territory closing agent to see what they require. We do not know the transfer requirements for Non US property.

You could possibly ask for a court order allowing the sale if you have the proceeds placed into an escrow and held, we do not know enough about this to know.

**A: yes she can and this sort of thing should have been worked out prior to the sale of the property so you would not be in a position to be in breach of contract.
