What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? nj
I'm a college student looking for a good education attorney. Is there a directory? How do I know what kind of experience the attorneys have?

There is a "find a lawyer" button on the site.

Other than that, the site cannot provide referrals.

The yellow pages is a good start, and interviewing several would be at least a decent way to check their credentials, experience etc.

Other choices are contacting your local or state bar assoc. for a referral to a specific type of attorney (in this case education). Do you have a law school in your area where you could get a referral from?

If you detailed your case a bit, we might be able to tell you if you even need one. Save you some serious $$$ (A good attorney can run you $100 or more AN HOUR - better to find out if you have a case first)
