What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? michigan I filled for divorce 3 months ago and befor i filled my husband found out that he will be inheirating a large sum of money. am I entitled to any of that money?

Guess you shouldn't have filed for divorce huh?;)

This is not his money, yet so there is nothing for you to be entitled to.

And, of course, even if it was his money, it remains his as long as he doesn't mingle it with marital assets. Inheritances are separate property.
