What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? texas
I have a question..i was going to hire an attorney after several different consultations with different attorneys but then she said she couldnt take my case...i dont want to rush and get one just because of time...i was served papers on the 21st of January --is there a way I can get a continuance of time to continue to secure an attorney?
Thank you

okay, i just called another lawyer..and was about to have a consultation with her when the secretary said she had to do a quick check...she then told me there was a conflict of interest and they could not help me...I asked her why and she said she could not explain further...does anyone know what that means?/

If the lawyer had previously consulted with your ex (or stbx), then s/he can't take the case.
