I found out that my wife is having an affair. She refused to end it, so I put her out of our home. She is Bi-Polar, has deperssion, and is addicted to perscription drugs. She is behind on all of her bills which effect both of us. We argue all the time. I have confronted the man that she is dating. She is out of our home, and our 16 year old son was with me until we had our last arguement. He has stated that he wants to return home with me, yet she has a recording of me telling her mate what I would do to him if I caught them together. What is the best thing for me to do?

Get a divorce. Address custody, visitation and child support in the divorce.

Well, you can hope that she doesn't file immediately for divorce and request temporary custody and exclusive use of the marital home - you had NO right whatsoever to make her leave (and she can come back whenever she wants, by the way - until a court says otherwise).

You are absolutely within your rights to do the same though - file for divorce and request temporary custody and exclusive use of the home.

And seriously - leave the other guy alone.

Of course, if you assault her boyfriend, the matters of the house and the custody of your son will be easily settled, since you'll be in prison until after he's an adult.
