If you are not working how are you going to be able to fly with her back and forth from Florida for every visit?

That's actually a very good question. The child won't be able to fly UM for at least another two years... So that means a minimum of two R/T tickets for each visit. More for the longer ones...

Once I am in Florida I will be able to get a job which I will then use in conjunction with the child support I recieve to pay for the tickets.

Have you priced airline tickets? (And they're only going to go up.) What kind of work do you do?

Are you a Marine Biologist, or a juggler (Key West employment)? What jobs exist in FL that you can't do in NY?

Or is it FL because some new guy is there?

I beg to differ with you, dear Nextwife. Jugglers and marine biologists both can find work in NY. ;)

I am currently a EMT and would be transfering my certification to Florida, and once able to I will be returning to school to become an ultrasound tech.
Yes I have priced them and if purchased enough in advance can be found for a very reasonable price.

Okay, so a good question was raised - why can you not do that in PA (or NY)? Your daughter is going to preschool in the fall, and there are lots of them in PA. Or in NY. You parents can't care for her, but they won't need to when she starts preschool, anyway.

Have you looked at that option? FL is not all THAT much cheaper, to be honest.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, while my brother lives in Key West that is not the area I would be moving to. I do not live in NY nor did I say I couldnt find a job where I live in my field I stated other reasons why I am not able to get a job at the moment.
No there is no new guy, all because we are seperated and getting a divorce I do not believe I have a right to be starting anything with anyone else besides of what he does that is just how I am. Until I have the divorce I am still married to me in that regard.

Majority of the ambulance companies in PA are volunteers with very little paying positions if any. I have thought of that option when she starts preschool and have not completely voted it out. I know it isnt that much cheaper in contrast to where I live in PA I am just trying to figure out what would be best all around for providing a good and quality life for me and my daughter. As stated before my parents are on a fixed income and I am not going to be able to stay here that much longer with them.
Sorry for not stating this earlier the plan was to move in with my sister here but she has since accepted a promotion that goes along with a transfer so I was thinking of keeping the same plan just moving it to florida.

I'm sorry to ask the obvious, and apologize if it's been answered already...

..but is Dad actually on board with this proposed relocation?

Have not spoken to him as of yet but I will before we do anything. I believe after the initial shock he will be on board with it as he understands my situation and hardships here.
