child support w/ shared parenting??

In the process of divorce. Our case was continued to this May. Probably the 3rd continuance.
This time, the ex and I have been communicating and trying to come to an agreement before the court date. We are pretty close on settling. We are on a shared parenting schedule that we came up with in mediation. Basically it's split 52/48, her way. She wants me to pay $200 additional a month to her for our child. I am puzzled as to why I need to pay that considering we split our child's time basically in half. I make maybe 15K more than her a year. Am I wrong for thinking I should not have to pay more a month than all the things we currently split for our child?

Please advise me here....this is basically all that's holding us up.

Google. Read. Learn. Calculate. and realize that with a split this close to 50/50%, there is wiggle room and reason to consider deviating from guidelines.

Yes, she wants 200 a month. I am not sure the cost of insurance. I have a me plus child plan and it comes out my check. What you're saying is the amount I am putting in to that would be considered against the 200 a month?

I have 50/50 split parenting, and still have to pay $600 a month for my two boys. And we are actually deviating from the original order by about $200. I make less then $10,000 more than my ex. I also have to pay an extra $100 for medical insurance coverage for them on top of splitting all cost with sports, medical bills, or any other extra activities they do. I still can't figure out how this is fair? With 50/50, that is basically 15 days with each parent per month. SO the CSEA is saying it takes her $600 to support the kids for 15 days... So it must take me $600 also, on top of splitting all those other cost. the Ohio calculations are wrong in shared parenting situations like these. If the parents split time evenly, then they should split expenses evenly. Its hard enough to go from a two person income, back to your own income... but then having even less money due to these poor guidelines.

Just thought I would share my story to show you this is a common thing, and you are probably doing pretty good to only have to pay $200 a month. If you find any other info to fight your case, or a good lawyer that gets you out of this nonsense, please share. I am thinking about fighting mine again. Good luck to you!

My apologies... lol. I failed to realize we are in 2013, not 2012. I'll have to find my answers elsewhere.
