What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ca. Recently, the qdro accountant sent a bill for his work to my attorney. My attorney forwarded it to me. I recalled that the accountant had already been paid in advance from the sale of my home via the court order. I replied to my attorney with copies of the paper work that proves this but, Each cummunication between me, my attorny and the accountant is costing me $27.50 each time. Is this common practice that the client pays for others mistakes?

Thanks.

Why didn't you just communicate directly with the accountant?

In the begining, I did, but the accountant was so slow, (over 6 years now) I would push him to do the calculation so he didn't want to deal with anyone except the attorneys after that. But, it was his boss that sent the bill to my attorney. And, his boss and my attorney are buddies. From your answer, I'm guessing that "his" mistake turned into "my" mistake.
