What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

This is a serious matter, i would appreciate the nasty remarks and comments to be left aside thanks!

My child stated to me that my ex took him out of state to go visit family and a play land. I forwarded this news on to my attorney and she said IT IS NOT OK to let my child go out of town with him since hes a felon he cant take my son out of state or town. when my ex came for his recent visit my boyfriend told him he cant be taking my son out of state or town because thats what my lawyer said. my ex became angry and caused a scene and said he can do what he wants on his time. can i take him to court for this? Also it was my moms birthday and we had a party for her and my son asked if he can come but it was on my exs weekend. i asked my ex if he can come to it and he said no because my son "didnt want to" which is a lie because i asked him prior. i am the custodial parent so could i have just went and got him?

you have no right to dictate what your ex does on his time. Not at all. But you won't learn. Pay your attorney. Well and on time. WHY? Because you will need her for a long time.

Ask your attorney. I'd also suggest finding one that accually knows Family Law.

If he has served his sentences and is no longer on parole and the court has no restrictions quit whining.

Anyway ,you don't name the State.

And BIG deal if you are primary custodian.

He is the custodial parent on his court ordered time and out of State vacations are allowed.

we have reason to believe he is possibly dealing with drugs and we would like if my son not be a part of that!
My attorney is actually considered a prestigious law firm and im not quite sure why you all believe she would tell me this to get me in trouble? there is clearly a reason as to why she said he wasnt allowed to take him out of town.
and she said i was custodial parent giving me an overruling of what he does. my mom had her birthday party and would have enjoyed her grandson to share it with her i was nice enough to not go and get him right then and there and because my ex put him in the middle and asked him what he wanted my lawyer said i can use that against him as well

So... why wasn't the party planned for a day when your child was supposed to be with YOU? That's what most normal people in this situation do - plan around the kid's schedule. Grow up already. All of you.
