tax question when in middle of divorce

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

We separated in June 2011, and both filed for divorce in Aug 2011. The divorce is still pending. But she refused to file tax return jointly.

My soon-to-be-ex does not work.
For year 2011, half time we stayed together, half time we were separated. What filing status should I use when I file tax return? I guess it should be "Married file separately".

And am I reliable to pay tax on all incomes (since she has no income)?

Or for first half year, I pay half tax, she pay half tax; For 2nd half year, I pay tax on all incomes? (let's not consider spouse support for now). And apply same rule to tax withhold, that is I claim 3/4 is my withhold, and 1/4 is what she paid.

Thanks a lot!

I have very good credit history. Interesting enough, my soon-to-be-ex also asked for my credit report. And why my credit report related to tax filing (and divorce)?

Thanks,
