What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio My husband had a judgement granted against him Dec14 2006.Havent heard anything since they put a lein on our house in 2009.We lost our house to foreclosure in 2010. We received a letter from the court today that the credit card company lawyer is reviving the debt. Is there a statute of limitation on this? Its been almost 6 years.

Judgements are usually good for 10-20 years, depending on the state, and are usually renewable as well. Some states they can be renewed forever. The only way to make it go away is to pay it.

According to Google, in your state a judgement becomes dormant if there is no action taken on it for 5 years. It has been less than 5 years since the last action was taken, so it's not even dormant. Once it's dormant, it can be revived within the next 10 years after it goes dormant. So either way you are still on the hook (well, your husband is).

Actually its been over 5 years.Dec 2006? Or does putting a lein on my house in 2009 count as action taken?

Of course putting a lein on your house counts as action for collection. You think something like that happens all by itself? No, they have to file something to make it happen. That's an action.
