She's too little and cute to be eaten. The duck, not Pro.

I wasn't the one who brought up Hunger Games...what was I meant to think? :p

But yes. Given that it's your pet, ducky is safe. I haven't eaten anyone's pet in memory.

Plus, I couldn't eat duck now anyway. :( Le sigh.

No but I heard a new Resident Evil is coming out this fall. , if you like Johnny Depp's quirky movies you could go see him.

Waiting to see Hunger Games after I read the book.

That was a really good movie. Actually had my 7 year old quiet from start to finish and that's no easy task!

The reasons given: sexually explicit material, it is unsuited to the age group and it has violence.
Careful about the spoilers below:

Wow! Sexually explicit??? I've read all three and don't remember any sexually explicit scenes/passage from the books!! Wonder what kind of dirty minds read the book and saw sexual explicit
(don't care for the movie, simply because I prefer the mental imagery reading can provide!)

I'm impressed with all the movie recommendations, especially since the only one that comes to mind when I see OP has started another thread is "Clueless".

Ummm, I read all three books and didn't see ANY sexually explicit material. But maybe the sex was hidden in camouflage. Or maybe a kiss is considered sexually explicit. Ummm... confused at that. As for the "it has violence" -- ummm, DUH! Unsuited to the age group -- that depends on the child. My oldest has read it and seen the film. No, not thirteen yet. LOVED it. Loved all three.
Mine - just turned 13, read it a couple of years ago and loved it too. I read them as well. Really good plot.
I miss the days of reading to daughter for half hour at night. We went through some good books. One was the Harry Potter series (I let her hear it 'early' I suppose), but wanted to throw in a series we read I just love - The Golden Compass. It has three books. Its for younger than the Hunger Games, however its very intelligent, thrilling, very strong visual adventures. I highly recommend it to your readers!:)

#2 and I both loved the Hunger Games series. I have not seen the movie, she has - and hated it.

Anyone want to her about the duckling she brough home the other day?
Did she hate the ending? I haven't read them but my dd has, several times. She HATED the end - said it's going to mess up the sequels.....
(after she told me how the book ends, that made so much more sense than how the movie ended)

My daughter (almost 15) did not LOVE the ending, and said certain things should have been made clearer, but we agree the sequels are still do-able. They'll just have to work those details into the next one.
