What does it say in the child support order? It should say something like "effective from xxx date until...".What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AL
If my divorce agreement was signed on March 25, 2012 and there is a child support order in this agreement, when would the first support payment have been due and when would it be considered late?
Thank you for your time.
I have a hard time believing it says NOTHING about effective dates in the order. It doesn't have an effective date. It says: pursuant to rule 32 of al rules of judicial admin, the plaintiff shall pay x amount per month as child support for minor children until they reach the age of majority.
Then it says the address to where it can be paid if there is a wage withholding, which there is not.
When was the income withholding order submitted to the employer? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AL

Then I suppose you need to be finding out about how to submit a withholding order, hadn't you? There is no withholding order. That stuff is just in the paragraph saying that if there were one, that would be the address and such.
Most excellent point!Interesting how the assumption is that OP is the payee, not the payor...
You said it's been signed, but has the agreement been signed and entered into the docket by the judge? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AL

So...Are you the payee or the payer?YeS, it had been signed by the judge and entered as of that date.
