What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I have divorced for over a year now. In my divorce it states that my ex-wife was to pay off a debt from a car we had that got repo'ed. She has not made a single payment on it, but since the debt is soley in my name I have been paying it so it won't hurt my credit. Can I take her to court and have her pay me back for this last year's worth of payments?

Taking her to court and winning a judgement to pay you back is one step. Collecting on that judgement is the next step.

Be advised that if it were you who were in contempt, the court may be inclined to be much more coercive when it comes to enforcement.
