I have been with a female for 12 years, and we are not married. Recently i decided to leave her. We made a verbal agreement that she would let me make payments on the car. She has recently changed her mine and is threating to call the cops and say I stole the car. I dont have a license but am getting one on the 15 of this coming month. I want to know am i entitled to anything after so long. Could someone direct mein the right direction if im in the wrong section.

whose name is on the title?

with or without a license, if her name is on the title of the car, it's her car. regardless of how much money you put into it.

Sorry, this site is for US law only.

If the car is in her name, it's her car. You aren't allowed to be driving anyway. Return the car and get your own.

Its her name that is one the title. Is there any way to fight for whats i think is mine? If we are not married but together for 12 years do i have any rights to anything in the house or is everything hers?

If the house and car are both in her name, it is hers. You have no rights to anything. If you wanted rights you should have gotten married.

Anything in the house which is your personal belongings (your clothing etc), which was purchased by you, or was a gift to you, and is not a permanent part of the house, would belong to you. Any property which has a title, such as a house or a car, would only belong to you if your name was on that title.

Of course, not knowing your state, we might be missing some crucial state-specific information to give you.

But it looks like you are going to have to wait until you get your license and then buy your own car.

What is this crap are you entitled to anything because of you being in a relationship for 12 years? Did you think the longevity of a romance earns you points you get to redeem for exciting cash and prizes at the time of break up? Please.

Well, in many States (if not most), that's pretty much how it can work if you're married....

Some states do have some protections for people in long term, committed relationships. And you might be able to make a claim for a portion of any property accumulated during the relationship ... but, that might be more trouble than its worth, depending on the value of any mutual assets.

What state are you in?

The man is owed for 12 years of devotion. The longevity of the romance (aka duration of the marriage) determines the monetary reward. The only thing OP is missing is a meaningless piece of paper.
