What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Hello,

I'm currently receiving child support automatically from my ex's wages, which is how it's done in CA. Our child will turn 18 this August. Will the support and garnishment automatically stop or does he have to file something? Thanks!

You or he can file a motion to terminate the support order.

(If you know and he doesn't, or he forgets, the proper thing to do would be to file yourself)
