What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT
During a status hearing, the judge ordered my estranged husband (now pro se) to send to my attorney a copy of his divorce proposal.
We have a no contact RO, and he violates it every other week, it seems. We have an open case pending and two show cause hearings.
He simply has no respect for the law, does not like to be told what to do evidenced by his willingness to violate orders.
Anyway, the judge was firm on many issues with him, withdrew his petition for legal custody. So now he sends DIRECTLY to me, his divorce proposal, of course asking for legal custody. Control is a major issue for him. Anyway, I am at wit's end. In it he says he's not sending anything to my attorney. He is demanding to speak with me because he doesn't want a divorce.
OPINION NEEDED HERE:
Is it worth going back in front of the judge, incurring legal expenses, or should I simply tell my attorney to ignore it until he complies with the judge's order? We have a trial date set 8 months out.
