You know what's really sad about this OP? It's not that he thinks he got lucky this once. Because I can almost bet my last dollar this wasn't his first time. What's sad is someone like this, will continue to drive impaired until they kill themselves or someone else.
 


If you are counting on an impaired individual's recollection of events as being accurate then maybe you are high too.

Without having actually witnessed the stop and subsequent events it is impossible to guess what the reason was.

I said probable. He was impaired, by his own admission. The police did not test him.

Don't get defensive about every post questioning an action by an LE officer. It gets tiresome.

I wasn't getting defensive. What gets tiresome is you making assumptions based on nothing. Not every impaired individual is obviously impaired and taking the OP's unreliable information about what he must have looked like and saying what's "probable" is a stretch to say the least.
