What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.

In 1986 I was abducted by aliens on my parents land in the wilderness. The psychological trauma was devastating. Can I sue the government for failing to protect me against all enemies foreign and domestic, or has the statute of limitation run out?
Well, that seems to explain a whole helluva LOT!

Funsuckers, anyone? (And remember that the "blue moon" remains visible until tonight...)

Not only can you not sue, I suspect there is likely a federal warrant for your arrest. Since this happened prior to 1991 you were in violation of 14 CFR 1211. (seriously)

And just to memorialize the event, I've taken a screenshot of the original post and shared it with my friends on FB... You know, in case the aliens electromagnetically compromise the FA servers and remove the post...

Cheers!:D:D:D

That wasn't the aliens.

That was the Me In Black.

Hahahahaha... I carefully anticipated the comic value of this "pics or it didn't happen" moment. Got the quoted reply and a screenshot first.

Must preserve for posterity. :D:D:D

As for me, being the teatotaler and always serious sorta fellow, I'll throw the wet blanket out and point out that 14 CFR 1211 was repealed in 1991. (I'll avoid the nuances of the law and whether or not imposed any requirement on the average citizen or was even a criminal statute to begin with.) ... Yeah, it's a serious mood sort of week.

I know that but zeolots crime predated that (1986)

what could result in a criminal charge was a refusal to submit to a quarantine. That's back when we were worried about space cooties.

That would have to be a quadruple mocha ... I've avoided anything "stronger" for 22 years and 48 days (and counting). :)

Rough week ... budget issues, negotiations, city politics, uncertain future of employment ...
