Hi all.
I have been married for five years.
My wife and I have no children together, no assets together, and she makes a living wage.
6 months ago we got into your average argument and she packed her bags and left. I suspect with good reason she is mildly bipolar, but I dont care.
I have heard through the grapevine that she is going to file soon.
I dont want a divorce and feel she has given up without even trying.
If I dont sign on the dotted line, what recourse does she have?

To file for a default judgment. She'll still get her divorce.

That simple?
Can I sign the divorce but not agree to the settlement portion no matter what it is?
I was told they will set a court date, bring us both in and ask if we agree on it.
If not, they will send us home and tell us to come back when we do.

That is not correct. If you don't agree, the judge will decide on any points of contention. If you have no children and no assets, you really have nothing to fight over. If one of you wants a divorce and the other does not, the one who wants it will win. She will not EVER be forced to remain married to you just because you don't want to break up.
