What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I applied for legal aid, but was told I probably wouldnt qualify because there wasn't any physical abuse. The attorney that I spoke with was really nice though and told gave me a couple of websites that contained forms for getting the divorce started. I am pretty postitive that the divorce will be uncontested, but there is a possibility that he may contest when he finds out that I filed for child support with the attorney general. I am wanting to go down to the court house and file today, but I want to make sure I have everything I need before I do. I have the original petition for divorce all filled out and ready to go, just need to make my three copies. I also filled out a Conservatorship, Rights and duties order (may not have needed this one, but wasnt sure. And last but not least an affidavid or indegency which I will get notarized on the way to the court house. Is there anything that I'm missing or don't need?

Your divorce will be easier if you wait until the atty general files their SAPCRS ( Suit Affecting Parent- Child Relationship).
They know your spouse's income and will calculate the child support, medical support, conservatorship & possession & access (visitation).
After they do their order, you just have to attach a certified copy of the Atty General's order and within your divorce decree state "support and visitation orders are requested as ordered by the Court in the Atty General"s case, attached heretofore and incorporated herein'.
The correct way is to file your case, file a Motion to Consolidate, and serve the AG, but the above method usually works well.
Good luck
