What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
Would a 50 year old man who was injured in 2009(delivering US Mail) and suffered following perm. medical restrictions qualify for SS disability?
Work restrictions:
-4 hours a day(light duty)
-10 minute break every 30 minutes
-no bending
-no climbimg

-10lb. lifting

I didn't. I'm about to file for FERS diability retirement, and must also file for SSD. I would need additional income over FERS D/R.

With those restrictions yes its possible. The 10 minute break every 30 minutes would pretty much rule someone out for just about any job, unless it was something work at home where it would not interrupt productively to take a 10 minute break every thirty minutes. In addition, the person on that kind of schedule couldn't possibly earn enough to go above the allowed earnings threshold.

Now, it being possible doesn't mean, at all, that the SSA will automatically approve the benefits. Most people these days have to go through a couple of years of appeals before benefits are actually awarded.
