Divorce or Annulment - married someone who isn't who he is....

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas (Harris County)

I married someone in another country - not his home country. After the marriage, he changed and things were suspect. He went back to his home country and will not respond to any messsages. His country is not part of the Hague Convention and there are NO processors in his country. How can one dissolve the marriage? My suspicisions of him not being who he is causes me to seek Annulment as I don't want any records of my name tied to his (I fear for my safety). Is it possible in Texas as I don't have actual proof of who he is?

Anyone ever in this situation? I don't want to mention what I suspect, but let's say I fear I may have been used to gain access into the US (and I have reported it). I want to get some feedback here and see if cases like this have been handled as there are no protocols in situations like this on any attorney site.

See an attorney. Just for service, you'll have to jump through hoops so you might as well get one on board now for advice. You won't be able (nor be safe) to do this on your own.

Most people are not so irresponsible. Investigate divorce by publication, you have not presented any grounds for annulment.

Even if you sponsored him, since he's left the country, you may be able to get out of your obligations. Depending on how long he's been gone. Did you sponsor him?

What fraud do you contend occurred? Him not being a nice guy isn't going to cut it. A divorce will be much, much easier. And, whether you obtain an annulment or a divorce, your name will be just as tied to him.

Don't worry about annullment. STOP the sponsoring process before it's too late and hire a lawyer to get a divorce.
