I would like to purchase a home but I don't want to pay much more than what other buyers are offering. How can I do this if I don't know what others are offering ? Can I trust the seller to tell me what others are offering ? If I wait, other buyers, upon making agreements to buy will discover problems with the house that will lower the price.

Thanks for comments.

You don't have a legal issue here.

If you do not know what the house is worth on the market and to you, perhaps you should be working with an agent.
Generally offers are made based on what the buyer is willing to pay with a contingency to find out if there are latent defects.
The seller is under no obligation to tell you what others are offering, or even if other offers are pending.

Geesh. How would anyone here know what the others are offering? How could anyone here know if the seller can be trusted? Honestly...Do not buy if YOU can not DEAL.
