Dui In Illinois? Need help ASAP

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois

Got my 3rd DUI the other night. Its suppose to be a class 2 felony but the officer wrote it up as a misdemeanor. Can the Judge up the charge to the felony after ive already been charged with the misdemeanor? What can i expect to happen? Havent had a DUI in 6 years and i also have a job that i need my license for which i was suppose to get back 40 days from the day i got the 3rd DUI. Also should i hire a lawer or just use a public defender and save my money because i already admitted my guilt by taking the breathalizer test? Like i said any help would be appreciated and the sooner the better...Thanks

You could find yourself indicted on a felony. Don't expect to be driving. And if you have money to hire an attorney, you will be hiring an attorney.

Your 3rd DUI? In how long? Six months? A year? Two? Five?

Don't expect to be driving for a good long time.
