I recall as a child, someone who put certain types of solid biological waste matter on the walls. Would you question repainting those walls after the matter was cleaned off?
I hope you were properly disciplined for that! Did you use your fingers?

The key here is "prevention". Children are not being properly supervised if allowed to do this nasty act, mark on walls with crayons or scratch walls etc.

Cleaning is a renovation. Why risk contempt when things hit the fan?
In the very least, if an renovation needs to be performed, the wife should submit a root cause anaylsis in writing, what happened, what needs to be corrected and a plan to prevent similiar occurrances in the future.

Sure. The soon to be ex is going to get right on that report before the floors get swept, knick-knacks get dusted or the shower sprayed. You don't clean much around your place, do you?

I'm not fighting to keep my place. If I were, I would obey the court order and get right on that corrective and preventative assessment report ASAP.

Really? You don't think a judge would be more peeved woth the party who ties up time in court for "but but but my HORRIBLE stbx is painting a room! And you said she's not allowed to renovate!!!"

Do we even know what color she's painting it? I'd so laugh if it was the same color or a neutral.

Really - this is as silly as the CP who asked us if she should go after her ex for contempt over $25.

The sad thing is that we really should just be ignoring Bali when he waxes ridiculous, but we cannot, because unfortunately the OPs might actually believe him when he waxes ridiculous.
