I'm 5'3 and weigh 138lbs...why are we even having this discussion? OP if you're THAT self conscious of your weight (which is what i'm guessing the issue is) then WHY are you even taking the class? If its required then I suggest you get over it. LOTS of people who are large (which again, i'm assuming is the case here) have no issue admitting their weight. I'm familiar with someone who weighs approx 317lbs at 5'5...if SHE isn't afraid to admit that then YOU need to move on too. Sheesh its a PHYSICAL education class for Bobs' sake!~

I actually think OP is trying to find out if s/he is in a protected "class" and can sue for the basic question asked of this Instructor.

And... in my "bleeding LIBERAL heart", I would have to say...Yes. (cause you can sue for anything. Likely won't win though.)

Two parts to that there question hoss. Not only must a person be in a protected class, but also must be discriminated against for being in that protected class. We have no discrimination even alleged.

But Tranq, how DARE a PHYSICAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR ask a student pertinent information about their health status before a class! Sheesh. Student should sue for several million dollars for such a GROSS invasion of their privacy. What is this country coming too....

The post you quoted contains a syllogism not a comparison. That being said, the syllogism is a reformulation of the point I was making and calling it "DUMB" doesn't refute it. Even with four capital letters all in a row.

You're right.... it wasn't dumb. And I'm not allowed to use the words to describe it.

At the end of the day, you're either young enough not to realize that sometimes you have to do things you'd rather not, or old enough to really just get over it. Either way? This is not a lottery you're going to win.
