What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri
Friend of mine is currently on probation for 5 years. He is in a miserable marriage and wants a divorce but is unsure of the process while on probation. His probation rules state he cannot move from his current residence until he has completed 18 months of his probation violation free which will be May 2014. He is also concerned that his wife will attempt to get him in trouble with the law and cause a probation violation just out of spite. So my two questions were in the event of the divorce and he lost his current residence would he then be able to move and is there any laws that would protect him during the divorce process in the event his wife attempted to cause issues to purposely get him in trouble?
