you all should be ashamed of yourself. most of these replies were really really uncalled for. teasing a disabled women who needs help... beyond belief.
I'm not teasing anybody. I just have the same question:

If Mom is too disabled to type, how can she drive her children?

I'm familiar with many MANY disabled individuals (including a couple w Tourette Syndrome) and not a SINGLE ONE of them cannot either use a computer or voice to type programming. You should be ashamed of YOURself for playing the disabled card when clearly you're someone looking to gain an interpretation that works in your favor. This business is between mom n dad. Trundle on meddling person.

If mom is too disabled to even type a forum question on a computer, then there is NO WAY it would have been put into a court order than nobody other than mom or dad can drive kiddos.

wha wha wha are are are you you you talk talk talk ing ing ing bout bout bout:eek:
Tigi darling, that's a stutter. REAL Tourettes would be a MUCH more entertaining translation LOL. The 2 individuals whom I know with Tourettes both make noises, grunts, and various facial ticks. One of these days I should ask them to play with the voice to talk on my computer. They're family members who have wonderful senses of humor about their conditions so i'm sure they would have just as much fun with it as I would :D

I have a very good friend with Tourettes and when they IM me they do exactly that. It cracks me up each time:). I will have to let him know that he has to add the ticks, grunts, and maybe a few emoticons in his next IM.

i never said mom could drive, the concern was that mom could not drive, and if dad had an issue or emergency who would bring the children. if she signs this she will basically be agreeing to something that is impossible for her. get it? or do you need more personal details to humiliate her with.

Then why on earth would she agree to such a condition?

Definitely! My one family member happens to literally be one of my best friends in the world. We've been close since we were children. When explaining his condition to those who first meet him and are unfamiliar with Tourette Syndrome, we always explain that he got the "boring" Tourettes. Instead of the fun random exclamations of swear words (like you see in the movies), all he got were the dull ticks and grunts with the occasional head jerk or roll. :D :p. That always gets a laugh out of people and works to make them more comfortable around him.

She is not going to. She has no money and no representation. She has yet to sign off.
well Hell's bells. Get this clarified before she signs it. That is why you read documents and contracts and such prior to signing them. If there is something not clear or not to your liking, you do something about it before it becomes official.

That was my point.

It's not just if DAD "has an issue or emergency."

Speaking of snotty *tones.*

Is this a proposal or an existing court order?

WHY is this issue -- who drives the children -- such a concern for one or both parents, and/or to their attorney/s? There IS a reason.

Then she should not sign it and state why she cannot sign such an agreement.

Your friend needs to stick up for herself. In fact what you are doing is enabling her. Empowerment is what she needs, and that can only be found by the person looking for it.
