What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

A couple of years ago while in the hospital my daughter presented me with papers to become POA. During the last couple of years things were okay. But they are not so good any more. Because she does not agree to some purchases and decisions that I have made she has closed my accounts and has tried to put me on a budget. This was done behind my back and I am very upset about it. I wrote a letter revoking her role as POA it notorized and sent to her and my accountant. The problem is they do not seem to be acknowledging this. They want me to agree to a specific amt to be put in an account every month. I do not want to be on a budget. I am mentally competent. I should have control back. Do I need an attorney?

sounds more like your daughter is acting like a guardian or conservator. I would start with speaking to your accountant to see what documents he has been presented with concerning your estate.

If you was found not mentally competent by a doctor. The only way for this to be reverse back to you is for a doctor to find you now mentally competent.
Your daughter I'm sure is keeping in touch with your doctor.Who knows what she is saying to your doctor or what was said.If your proven to be not mentally competent at this time. You may not be able to change doctors on your own without your power attorney. As you and your power attorney should be a team together.
You need to call a new doctor's office to ask if you have the right to change doctors without your power attorney approval. But,I'm sure they will say "No".But,it's worth a shot. The reason why I am saying this is,you may want to change doctors. The first thing for you to do is,have a doctor state you are now mentally competent. If you can do this your rights will be reversed back to you.

If you can't get mentally competent approval by a doctor,
There is other steps that may be done.Find another relative that is willing to become your power attorney. If your power attorney is not doing her job correct she can be removed and another can be appointed.Example,if bills aren't being paid, late fees, doctor's appointments aren't being treated or if you are being abused in "anyway" your daughter's rights can be revoked.Another example is if the police recieves to many 911 calls of abuse from you.Your daughter's rights will be looked into.
